How to earn college credit for Military Service

While in the military it is very hard to also get a degree at the same time. If you are moved around from station to station, country to country, you may not be able to get into the same classes.

The servicemen’s opportunity colleges have addressed the concerns of servicemen and their families. The SOC has gathered together several of the college officials to solve the problems. They determined it would be a great idea for you as a serviceman to be able to carry credits from one college to another without having to be reevaluated and tested for entry into the new college.

You can even take test for class credits, as your work experience will prepare you for these tests. Your work experience can also, in some cases, count for class credits.

The SOC has made is much easier for all servicemen and their families to get a college degree while serving their country.
